|Rhubarb pie and cake recipes.
I never knew there were so many rhubarb pie, cake and jelly recipes. I do remember my mother
had a patch of rhubarb growing on the farm. She planted her rhubarb right beside the
strawberry patch. You would have thought the rhubarb was more precious then her roses. I
never understood why. Now I do. Rhubarb is a treat to use. I love it.
All of the collected recipes I add here are taken from handwritten recipe boxes or journals.
I am, single-handedly, trying to salvage old recipes from being lost to us forever. You gotta love
a collector. (You believe all that?)
Our mother's and grandmother's spent a great part of their lives in the kitchen preparing food
for the family. Those days and times are lost to us forever. I don't want to loose their recipes
too. It is their history, a part of who we were then. A part of why we are what we are today.
Their recipes are our history. If you like this page, try our All Chocolate Recipes, the Gumdrop

cards, diaries, journals and memories. Don't forget to check out the Strawberry Cake and Pie
